Our future fitgirl, my granddaughter, Paislee, at four years old did her first 5k run thanks to Krista @fleetfeetmurfreesboro for putting on the first annual Dancing Lights 5k in Lebanon. I really didn’t intend on my granddaughter doing a 5k for her first run, but there hasn’t been any one mile fun runs around. .
.
So I took a chance and boy did she surprise me!! It took 1 hour and 10 minutes and that included stopping and looking at the lights and photo ops. Not bad. .
.
My granddaughter loves to run and I’m thankful that I can have a positive impact on her fitness lifestyle. .

So yesterday I posted re: a 17 days to Thanksgiving challenge to either “give up” your food weakness (mine is Peanut M&M’s) or cut it to 1-2 days a week. .
.
So....one day down and no M&M’s for this girl!! Whoop whoop!! .
.
I know that I’m not overweight. I know that I’m in good shape. But what I also know is that I can get out of control with certain food weaknesses that if not put in check, will cause me to gain body fat/extra weight, even though I workout 6 days a week!!
.
.
All my life people have said to me: “oh you can afford to eat that, look at you” or it’s sure not going to hurt “you”. .
.
And, I have, in the past, listened and gone ahead and thought, hmmm, I am in good shape and I workout hard, I deserve this and it will be okay!! NOT!!!!
.
.
You cannot out work a bad diet or consistently bad food choices!! I have gained and lost weight so many times all these years with that kind of mindset. .
.
So, I definitely make wiser choices and I also enjoy what I want on Friday nights, but it was about to get out of hand!! That’s why the challenge!!! Join me!!! 💪🏻💪🏻 .
