3 Ways HIRT Can Strengthen Your Routine

By this point, everyone has heard of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), but not many people have heard of High Intensity Resistance Training (HIRT). HIRT’s consists of a continuous bursts (intervals) of exercises just like HIIT’s, but as the name suggests, it consists of resistance training as well.

1. Combining strength training with cardio – This makes for a deadly fitness combination. You can literally squeeze one hour of cardio and one hour of strength training into one 30-45 minute session.

2. Time Management – If you have a family, multiple jobs, or one job that just feels like multiple jobs, HIRT is a perfect fit for your schedule. You can get into shape, maintain your heart health, and build muscle for just fifteen minutes a day, as long as you are consistent.

3. High commitment, High rewards – Just like with any fitness regimen or goals, nothing comes easy. Anything worth having is hard work. If you can stick to this super tough workout regimen, you could start seeing concrete results in as little as three weeks.
