Five Ways to Slow Down the Aging Process

Time is ticking, and we are all getting older. That’s no secret. People are always looking for ways to slow down the aging process. What might be a secret, though, is that you can slow it down through exercise.

1. Walking - Experts say that by walking at least 10,000 steps a day, you can reap major health benefits, like better mobility and circulation.

2. Cardio - Cardio is just the next step after walking. Cardio can improve your sleep, heart function, and it has been proven to help improve your memory as well. Twenty minutes of cardio three times a week should do the trick.

3. Squats - As long as you do this exercise correctly, squats can help alleviate joint pain in the knees and hips.

4. Jumping - Don’t be afraid of more high impact activity. Jumping helps build bone density and is a good way to keep your joints active.

5. Strength/Resistance training - any type of exercise that will create some type of resistance will help you build muscle. Anything from body weight exercises to exercises that require resistance bands, kettle balls, or dumbbells. Strength training helps your cells to regenerate, which can drastically slow down the aging process.

It’s always best to consult the professionals on health. Find a personal trainer that bests fits your needs. They can come up with a workout plan that is tailor fitted specifically for you.
