The Core of Strength Training

Putting on muscle is the easy part. The hard part is gaining actual strength. Your core is just that; the core of your body. Core strength is not just about having killer abs. It’s also about making sure you get a well-rounded workout no matter what muscles your targeting.

Your core is at the center of everything that you do. It’s how you get out of bed every morning. It’s how you walk upright every day. It’s how you bend over to grab something that you have dropped, and it’s even how you get back into bed at the end of the night.

Core strength is vital to any workout or type of movement that you do. When you are weak at your core, it affects your balance, your posture, and your workout. You fatigue easily and are more susceptible to injuries.

Strengthening your core will allow you to push that extra five minutes on the treadmill. It will help you to finish that extra set, or even reach your max. You cannot reach your full potential strength if you have a weak core. You must strengthen your core before you will be able to fully strengthen any other muscles in your body Having killer abs is cool, but what’s more important is making sure that you are in top shape. Incorporating a day to focus on your core into your weekly exercise regimen will help you to do just that.
